CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LAST 16 CLASH

MANCHESTER CITY VS BARCELONA

AUGEURO VS MESSI  24 FEBRUARY 2015 2145 LOCAL TIME

ONE of  the  most spectacular with high intensity and interesting  is the next week champions  league last 16 tie as http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2015/clubs/club=52919/ Manchester city  host Barcelona in England; Etihad stadium. The clash has attracted  the whole globe with soccer fanatics expressing that they cannot  wait  to see the South American gods delivering in the  South American style. IN  comparison, Europe may be beaming to be the best in terms of soccer infrastructural development, so is  AFRICA when it comes  to defensive qualities, but as  for the South American world it is  where football legends are born, the likes of  PELLE the great, Diego Maradona Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Diego Forlan and the present stars such as Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero,Di Maria, Neymar da Silva and Luis Suarez.-goal.com

However, the Barcelona   Manchester  City tie will be  Arguero and  company vs Messi  alongside  Suarez and Neymar. The  way  European matches attract global attention is by and  large a true testimony that African soccer  is still falling short in terms  of  quality of football itself. Many African soccer analysts argue that Africa is behind European football mainly because of economic issues that vex the whole continent of Africa. The greener pastures offered by European football clubs have become a major hook that fish few African talented players at their youngest age. Even without comparing football at continental level, in Zimbabwe alone , when Highlanders play Dynamos and  at  the  same  time Barcelona  play Real Madrid, many Zimbabweans will opt for Barca Madrid  clash on television  than watching their local teams.

African football  therefore need redemption economically to preserve talents from being fished by the Europeans who make their football sport so unique because they get talents from various corners of  the world. The Europe's hegemony therefore does not end  and  cannot  cease since  it is  the  economic power house of  the whole world.

UEFA champions league last 16 ties begin tonight with PSG hosting Chelsea, and Bayern munich trip to Shark tar Donetsk.

THE  clashes are presumed to be more on physical approach tactically than quality and skills. The  argument being  that the gods of  all these  clubs  playing today have  little talents  compared to  the  tomorrow clashes especially that of  Schalke  vs Real Madrid and  that of  next week where the  world  football talismans will feature, that is  the  likes  of  Lionel Messi and  Neymar in a clash with England  Premier League Champions  in Etihad Stadium.
Tonight , however , is Ibra vs Costa

DIEGO COSTA

BOTH Costa and  Ibrahimovic have outstanding qualities that will make  tonight's  showdown  in France an interesting one.Alongside the two outstanding players there  is  indisputably great managers especially Jose  Mourinho who is  known for being tactically gifted. Laurent Blanc  as  well has a  lot of  talents in his squad to cause a  unpredictable disappointment just like  last season when he  hammered  Chelsea 3:1

The European clubs have  gathered a large fan base in Africa mainly because  of  quality and  talent.  In comparison European football clubs are  by far entertaining and competitive. In Zimbabwe alone, over 60% forbes stats of soccer followers wear European clubs jerseys with logs for various clubs  such  as  Barcelona FC, Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC, Real Madrid FC, among other teams. This  is evidence to prove  that fan base  for European  teams  in  Africa has  grown larger than local African clubs.
